After you download the clump06.tar.gz file, you can verify and unpack it
as follows.

STEP 1.  Verify the clump06.tar.gz file.

    This step is optional, but I recommend doing it if you want to make
    sure that you are not installing code that has been modified in any way.

STEP 2.  Extract the files from the archive.

    Execute this command:

      tar xzf clump06.tar.gz

    This extracts the compressed archive, creating a "src" directory under
    your current directory.  If your tar program does not support a 'z'
    option you can first uncompress the archive with "gunzip clump06.tar.gz".


STEP 3.  Install Clump.

    Follow the simple installation instructions in the README file which
    appears in  the src directory.
